Colors of Iran
This photo of Karkas mountains was taken from hill next to Abyaneh village. Iran has such a beautiful landscape full of deep and beautiful colors. I was lucky to get very interesting shadows that created nice layers of darkness and light.
Karkas mountain chain or Karkas (Persian رشته كوه كركس Reshteh kuh-e Karkas) is located in Central Iran. It ranges from Kashan to Ardestan over more than 100 km and is mainly composed of igneous (plutonic and volcanic), pyroclastic and somewhat sedimentary Tertiary rocks. In the central part, this mountain chain consists of a Precambrian-Paleozoic basement. The highest peak of the Karkas Mountains is 3895m which is close to Natanz.
Canon EOS 350D DIGITAL, f/9, 0.003 sec (1/320), ISO 100, 144 mm
